Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

 Game characters

What's up, gamers, this is Pvt.Awsum with another spectacular blog. Sorry we haven't posted one in a while. It's just that we've been busy.......playing new games for us to review! Today's blog is gonna be about Super Smash Brothers Brawl! You see, what I like about Nintendo is that general games that come out like Assassin's Creed 3, or Call of Duty, they come out on all platforms. But Nintendo games, like this one, are only out on Nintendo consoles. So HA! PS3 and Xbox 360! This game is exclusively Wii! All right, let's get started!
Gameplay: 15/15
The gameplay is great! You can choose from 39 different characters, including the Nintendo characters we all know like Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, and the Star Fox characters and and up to 41 different levels in multiplayer mode! There are many different modes to choose from like the variety of multiplayer modes, the Classic and All-Star 1P modes, and the 1 or 2P mode, the Subspace Emissary. This is more of the adventure mode that's full of hours and hours of frustration and fun. This is also a great party game. I mean, you can have up to 4 players at a time. I know that every time my friends and I get together at my house, the first, and really the only choice, of game we want to play is this one. And for that, it gets a perfect score.
Graphics: 14/15
The graphics, well, there isn't much to say. The graphics are pretty good, nothing to criticize, really. The one bug that is common in almost every game is the glitch. The good part is that this game has a very few glitches. But the biggest one I've found (it's not that big) is that the characters in multiplayer mode sometimes kind of go inside of each other. Again, not that big.
Lasting Appeal: 12/15
Now, even though this game has a whole 1 player story mission, the better part of this game is the multiplayer. I've tried to play this game alone, but the plot just gets confusing. Like I said, just like Mario Kart and all of the Mario Parties, this is another great party multiplayer game that you can add to the long list of Mario party games.

To conclude, here are the final ratings:

Gameplay: 15/15
Graphics: 14/15
Lasting Appeal: 12/15
Overall Score: 14/15

BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!

Metroid Prime (Game Cube)

Metroid Prime (Game Cube)
Game Cover
How's it going, people of the inter webs, this is Pvt.Awsum bringing you my next blog on our website. This one's going to be about a very old game with a character maybe half of the people reading this will know. I'm talking about Metroid Prime, and I mean the very first one that came out in 2002 for the Game Cube. I've probably had this game for 7 years, but I've only played this game once, so let's see how it goes.
Gameplay: 14/15
I have to admit, at first, the gameplay in this was pretty crappy. But after restarting over and over, I warmed up to this old idea. The basic thing is that this is mainly a first person viewer/shooter game. Basically, you are Samus. Your helmet has all of your info, like maps, which can be pretty useful when the time comes. You start out with the basic things: a infinite ammo blaster, a finite ammo rocket launcher, and the famous ability to turn into a ball! I think that concept was originally from this game. Also, there's this really cool scanner feature in the helmet where you can scan things only with a certain sign on them. You use this feature a lot in this game. I really can't talk about boss fights, because, like I said, I just started playing. The thing that really frustrates me is that your enemies (or at least the first ones) don't die without getting shot like a hundred times. It really BUGS me!!!!
Graphics: 14/15
Considering this game was developed in 2002, I guess the graphics are pretty good. I mean, you can tell what most of the things are even though most of the creatures are made up, but still okay. A problem point for me was the brightness. It would be okay most of the time, but in some places of the level, when it was in a hall or a room, it kind of got a little too dark. But overall, good graphics.
Plot: 14/15
The plot seems simple at first, but it progressively got more and more complex. It starts out with Samus at a space station. You are supposed to fix it or something. And when you reach the middle, you fight a boss named the "Parasite Queen".Don't be confused by the name; this thing is big and ugly! Anyways, after you beat it, you have to evacuate. Once you're off the station you crash land on some planet that looks like Earth from the air and on the surface. Where I left off was I was on the planet, I guess looking for a way off, but I didn't even know where to go! The map was just honeycombs! But besides that, good plot.

Let's wrap it up with the final ratings:
Gameplay: 14/15
Graphics: 14/15
Plot: 14/15
Overall Score: 14/15

If you are a fan of Samus, and maybe even first person shooters like this, the I might suggest you should

BUY IT!!!!!!!

Thanks for reading my blog without getting bored in the middle (I hope!). Keep watching for more blogs, but until then, this is Pvt.Awsum saying peace!

Happy Wheels (PC)

Happy Wheels (PC)

Opening page

How's it going, all of you in cyber land, this is Pvt.Awsum, coming at you with my very first PC game review!!! The game I will be playing is Happy Wheels!! Now, unless you haven't had internet connection for the last 1 1/2 years, or unless you live under a rock, you've probably played this game. This is one of my FAVORITE PC games. In fact, I had to call dibs just to write a blog on this game so that Stjmz wouldn't get to do it (in your FACE, Stjmz!!). Alright, let's go on, shall we?
Gameplay: 15/15
This game is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically, you can play levels where you get to choose who you want to be out of nine characters which include really random people, like a guy on a giant lawn mower, an irresponsible dad (that's his actual name, he has a kid in a backseat), even an old hobo-ish looking guy in a tricked out wheelchair. My favorite character would be the Pogo stick guy. But that's not even the best part! You can also play levels made by real people! It's amazing! But wait! There's more! You can even become a Happy Wheels member, and you can make your own levels, too, for the whole world of Happy Wheels to play! I don't think there's a single thing wrong with the gameplay.
Graphics: 15/15
The graphics look great! If you're able to find a decent level, you can see how much detail you can put into this game. Also, there's a blood effect: when you break a part of your body off, like an arm, blood will come out. But, if you don't like all the gory blood coming out, there's a slider for all the pacifists out there where you can turn off the blood! But if you're not a pacifist, and you think the blood looks too fake, there's a slider for that too. You can go from fake blood to super real textured blood in an instant. One problem that I found, only because my computer is lagging, so I won't take off points, was that every time you played a packed level, meaning it was packed with items and junk, the character's speed would slow down. But that's my problem. This game is great!
Lasting Appeal: 15/15
I have no doubt that you will be hooked to this game after you figure it out. In fact, I just played it right before typing this sentence! I recommend this game to all gamers, except for anyone younger than 9 3/4 or pacifist gamers that only play games like Kinectimals (no offense). And why not play? It's free! It's fun! I suggest you go play this game, right after you finish reading this blog, of course.

To sum it all up, here are my final ratings:
Gameplay: 15/15
Graphics: 15/15
Lasting Appeal: 15/15
Overall Score: 15/15
This is probably my all-time favorite PC game, only because I really don't play many PC games; I'm a console guy, but I still suggest to you that since the game is free to play, you really should

PLAY IT!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to thank you for tuning into my blog. I will hope to see you next time on our blog website. But for now, this is Pvt.Awsum saying keep on playing! Peace!

Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing (Wii)

Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing (Wii)

Game Cover

What is up, gamers, this is Pvt.Awsum, with another spectacular blog on a video game. Today I will be blogging about Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing. This game is basically an awesome mash up of Sega and a Mario-like racing simulator, which combines to have great characters, great levels, and even better powerups!
Gameplay: 14.5/15
I don't think there's much to complain about the gameplay. This game is basically a Mario Kart made by Sega, but what's to complain about it? Everyone loved Mario Kart! The controls are just like Mario Kart's, except it has this super awesome drift feature which gives you an amount of boost depending on how much you drift. And onto the level setup, you get a choice of what kind of game you want to play. There's a quick race, multiplayer (up to 4 people), and different kinds of races, like knockout, a fun racing mini game where you can't be in last, because every about 10 seconds, they "knock" you out! The only thing that would make this game better is a combat level, like in Mario Kart. The only problem (which isn't that bad, considering that I only took off 0.5 points) is that when you start the game, you don't have all the level or all the characters. The game gets you to keep playing to accumulate points to buy all of that stuff. The characters that you already have are still great (my favorite racer's Sonic, who's already unlocked). But like I said, it isn't a big problem.
Graphics: 15/15
The graphics in this game are just like any other game that I've reviewed (with the exception of Madagascar, those graphics weren't so good): great, with no glitches. You see, that's what's tricky about the graphics category. If there's nothing wrong with the graphics, what do you write about? But I digress. Overall, the graphics are not a problem point to me.
Lasting Appeal: 13/15
Now, although this game is great and all with one racing cups and the missions, the best quality of this game is the multiplayer aspect, and, of course, you can't play multiplayer without multiple players! This game is a great party game, where you and three of your friends can just race it out. This game (this is the 1P part) would last you a while before you start getting tired of the same thing over and over again. And that's where the store comes in. You buy new thing from keeping this game from becoming an "antique".

To end out, here are my final ratings:
Gameplay: 14.5/15
Graphics: 15/15
Lasting Appeal: 13/15
Final Score: 14/15

To conclude this meet, Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing is a great game and I suggest that you...

BUY IT!!!!!!!!
